Nice thermometer with one flaw

I really like this thermometer. Nice product by Govee. I already had other products by Govee in use like the Desk Lamp and TV Lights. However, I encountered one avoidable design flaw on this product regarding the replacement of the battery.

There wasn’t anything special written about removing the battery in the manual. Indeed that wasn’t even mentioned in the manual. The battery wasn’t easy to remove with bare hands. I carefully used tweezers to get the battery out.

The problem is that I assumed that there is just plain black plastic underneath the battery. This is not the case. It’s the motherboard that is directly beneath it! You can easily scratch the motherboard by removing the battery in this way.

Therefore, I highly recommend to loose the 4 screws to dissemble the backside. Then you can remove the battery. Next you screw the backside on again and put the new battery in.

The Govee Service was very helpful. I received new ones. ++++

Nonetheless, I really like the product. The E-Ink-Display is great. It’s easy to read from any angle. The connection to the app can be established in a few seconds. The instructions are user-friendly and the provided functions are reliable. In addition, it’s small and thus can be positioned in nearly any place.

Besides the mentioned design flaw the thermometer works as promised.
I would highly recommend it. ++++

Data saving doesn't work

I can't view any data In the Govee app, the support was very quick to send me a replacement, which also doesn't work. This is clearly a software issue with this model, but I haven't heard back from them since. Now I have two not functioning thermometers 🥳.

super thermometer and hygrometer, the angle of visability is very large. we also have the digital one's, but the angle of vision on those is a lot worse. we use them in combination with the heaters.

I have immediately canceled my order due to some changes, I have chosen different product also from them but they charged & shipped it anyway. Now they don't reply
