The camera is designed for TV sets with thicker edges. Thin televisions can only be fitted with minor modifications. With a double-sided adhesive strip, for example. You can use the orange block too. So did I.
I have mixed feelings about the DreamView, probably it's personal because I own a 55 inch plasma tv. Mounting the led strips went oke, but the camera cannot be placed because I don't have a flat surface on top op the tv, probably most TV's don't. While the back of the tv is perfect for sticking something on Govee choose for a different approach. In my opinion that is the biggest flaw of this system. Govee should redesign the camera with a flat sticker and a adjustable angle.
The plasma tv view angle gives problems for the camera. Ledstrips colours are dull and not bright with the camera mounted on the tv. I changed the setup of the camera: 40 cm from the tv, bottomside, made an angled piece of black plastic and mounted it on the tv cabinet. Now 75% of the screen is captured in good colours and brightness, only top 25% keeps beeing dull (can be seen perfect with white testscreen on tv, on YouTube) I didn't use the orange blocks, just played a YouTube test screen for alignment. Experimenting continues..
