1. What's in the box?
4 RGBIC strip lights
1 car cigar lighter
1 user manual
Screws (so that the strips hold better)
Cable ties (to hold the cables by the sides)
and the service card
2. Specs
Model: H7090
Length: 4x30cm / 4x0.98ft
Light Color: RGBIC
Power Supply: Car Cigarette Lighter
Control Method: App, Control Box
Voltage: 12V AC
Power: 18W
3. Installation
It was a bit tricky to attach because the LED strips were attached to a single long cable and it wasn't immediately clear which strip to start with. In the operating instructions, however, after a closer look you could see what to do. First you clean the surface, then you push the plug at the end of the cable into the cigarette lighter provided. The control box is best attached to the center console. Next, you peel off the adhesive strips and stick the strips to the selected location. The cables can be easily pushed into the rubber seal or on the side of the floor covering so that they are barely visible. The LED strips hold well, but you should press them firmly so that they do not come off again. In places where you cannot attach the strips with the adhesive strips, such as the upholstered seat for the rear lighting, you should use the cable ties.
Note: Since it was the first time I installed LED strips in the car and had to improvise over and over again, it took me 2 hours.
4. Govee Home app
To connect the RGBIC strips to the app, click the "+" in the top right corner, enter the model name (H7090) or go to Other Lights -> Car Lights -> RGBIC Lights for Car. Now you can see the bluetooth device, click on it and give the light strips your own name.
5. Controlling with the app
There are 4 modes to choose from:
- music
- colour
- scene
- DIY
5.1 Music mode
In the music mode, as the name suggests, the strip lights react to music or noises. There are 4 style choices in this area:
- Lively
- Rhythm
- blow
- spray
The sensitivity can also be adjusted, as can the device microphone.
(the microphone at the control box and the cellphone microphone)
5.2 Colour mode
In the color mode you can set many things. First of all, you can set the color and brightness of each individual area by the Light Strips.
Next you can set your colors in a color line, as well as in a warm / white line, but you can also do it in the color wheel.
5.2.1 Problems with the colour mode
What I noticed is that I can only select one strip in color mode. What I mean: I can only give all four stripes one color or several.
Maybe Govee could revise this again, because it would be good if all four LED strips can be given different colors. What I mean: the first one red. The second blue. The third green. The fourth yellow.
I also noticed when I assigned a color to different areas that this was not implemented on the LED strips, but the back strips glowed red and the front ones cyan. And this happened even though I stated in the app that the first 3 LEDs should appear red and the next 3 LEDs turquoise.

5.3 Scene mode
In the scene mode you can select 30 scenes:

- Forest
- Aurora
- Lightning
- Starry sky

- Desert
- Field of flowers
- Fireworks
- Leisure
Life:

- party
- Night
- warm
- Tremble
- crossing
Feeling:
- sparkles
- Energetically
- Breathe
- Heartbeat
- Soulful
- Crazy
- diligence
Festival:
- Christmas

5.4 DIY mode
In DIY mode you can be surprised with many color functions by creating them yourself.
You can give your DIY a name, give it an icon and add it to a group.
Here you have 10 effects:
- graffiti
- hide
- jumping
- sparkles
- marquee
- chasing
- music
- combo
The speed can also be changed and at the bottom you can choose your colors.
6. Pros
- make the car a lot brighter
- a lot of scenes
- beautiful and vivid colors
- Music mode works perfect when you hear radio
- DIY mode
7. Cons
- give each individual area a color and brightness very buggy
- cannot give a color or more of every 4 stripes
8. My opinion
The RGBIC Car Strip Lights are good, but not perfect. The lighting in the footwell is perfect and now makes the car much brighter. What bothers me, however, is that I cannot give all four stripes different colors, although that would be technically possible to my knowledge. In the app, the selection of different areas is also not very mature and buggy.
But otherwise there is nothing bad to say about the RGBIC Car Strip Lights and I can really recommend them to everyone.
This gives me a score of 8.5 / 10!
The only thing that is not good is the adhesion it has already worn off.
